Digital Blue Recognized Among Top International Licensees in Lima's 2008 International Licensing Excellence Awards
ATLANTA, GA (APRIL 2008) — Digital Blue™, the innovator in electronics and software for the youth market, is proud to announce their nomination by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), in the “Best Film, Television & Entertainment Brand Licensee of the Year - Hard Goods” category.
For the second year, Digital Blue has been nominated for its successful development and marketing of Disney’s portable electronics line, including Mix mp3 and media players, Pix digital cameras, Flix digital video cameras and accessories. Each product features custom designs based on the hottest Disney properties, and merges high-tech functionality with integrated software to create personalized creative play experiences. Patented software included with the digital and video cameras lets users customize their photos & video footage with Disney characters and stars, stamps, frames, red eye reduction, cropping, resizing and more.
The LIMA nomination recognizes Digital Blue for licensing excellence of one of the industry’s most impressive and successful licensed properties of 2007. The Awards will be presented in seven categories at the industry’s most prestigious event, the annual LIMA Gala and Awards Ceremony, on June 11 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.
Nominations for the LIMA Awards were solicited from the entire licensing industry based on a list of categories and criteria that ultimately determines who the industry honors as leaders. Award categories are limited to a maximum of five entries each. Winners are chosen by a vote of the LIMA membership and each one will receive the coveted three-dimensional, etched-glass trophy, sporting the International LIMA logo.
